The Golden Gate turned into erected by King Ranjit Malla as the entrance to the primary courtyard of the Fifty-5 Window Palace. The Palace of fifty-five windows was constructed for the duration of the reign of King Yakshya Malla in 1427 A.D.and became re-modeled by King Bhupatindra Malla within the 17th Century.
