Langtang Trekking

Slightly closer from the capital the trek starts off from a 6 to 7 hours’ drive away from the city, the area of Langtang is ideal for anyone who wants the experience high altitude climbing without the time includes Nepal's first Himalayan national park called the Langtang National Park which stretches up to 1,710 km², with almost theatrical backdrop the areas intense weather conditions makes for an interesting result of flora and fauna. Engulfed in amazing Tamang culture and hospitality the area will also give you glimpses of simplistic village living.

Starting off the trek from Sybrubensi in the trek at Langtang valley the highlights include the Kyanjin Gompa, a sacred Buddhist Monastery from which you can enjoy amazing views of the Himalayan range. Another highlight in the Langtang Region has to include the Gosainkunda Lake, a holy lake, this massive scene structure is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and will leave you awestruck. A mix of bamboo forests and variety of lakes is also something you will find in this area. From the Langtang region you also get the chance to view the Himalayan range which includes Langtang Lirung, Langtang RI, Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Yala Peak, Ganjala Chuli m and more.  Langtang region as mentioned has a diverse climatic condition including both sub-tropical to alpine, with a prevalence of oak, maple, pine trees and animal life which includes the rare red panda, Himalayan black bear, rhesus monkeys and more. This region has quickly started garnering attention amongst tourists and treks in this area can stretch up from 3 days to 3 weeks.

Although quite offbeat as compared to Everest and Annapurna region has ample amount of rest stops and hotels you can enjoy the spectacular views from.
