How can I enter in Nepal?

Nepal is located between China and India like a sandwich. You can enter in Nepal by two ways:

By Airways: You can arrive in Nepal by flights at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You’ll land in Kathmandu which is the hub of tourists visiting Nepal.

By Roadways: From east to west, north to south, there are different entry points to Nepal via road. You can either enter from China or India. Entry from India is expected more as most of the road entry points are located in southern Nepal. The major entry points via road are:

From India: Kakarvitta, Birgung, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi, Mahendranagar

Department of Immigration (http://www.nepalimmigration.gov.np/) offers visa upon arrival for many countries. However, travelers from some countries are not aided by this system. Travelers from India will not need the visa to enter Nepal. The visa can be also be acquired from the embassies or consulate of Nepal abroad.

•    15 Days - US$ 25

•    30 Days - US$ 40

•    90 Days - US$ 100

•    The free visa is available for SAARC countries.

•    The maximum stay is 150 days per year on a tourist visa.
